A shaper of hot metals for the past thirty-five years, Andrew has gained a reputation for the creation of detailed contemporary and innovative forged metalwork, with commissions installed as far afield as Sydney, Tenerife, Dubai and New York.
His designs are informed by experiences in countries he has visited, by the changing seasons and by the prolific, beautiful natural environment of rural Herefordshire and the Malvern Hills where he lives with his family.
Andrew’s forge & studio is located in the historic blacksmiths shop at the Eastnor Castle Estate, near Ledbury.
He has in the past lectured at Hereford College of Arts and some time ago was appointed Artist in Residence at the Metal Museum in Memphis, Tennessee, demonstrating and lecturing to American students and established blacksmiths.
Andrew’s work ranges from small, very intricate decorative and functional items to series of gates and railings weighing many tons.
